Chrome extension · No account needed · Open source under Apache-2.0
Illustrative file structure · No personal data. Images and other attachments go in .assets; sources of media files go in .meta.

When you save a post on X, consecutive self-replies by the same author are joined into one Markdown file, with images saved locally. Only what is already loaded on the page is read.
Images, PDFs and audio or video files are saved as they are, with the source URL recorded in a metadata file. Online videos on YouTube, Bilibili and similar sites are saved as a Markdown page with title, author, duration and cover.
Select text and save it from the right-click menu. Quotes from the same page collect in one file, and each links back to its place in the original.
The interface follows your browser language: Simplified Chinese or English. Fixed text inside files uses the interface language at the time of saving.
Clips are ordinary Markdown and media files. Any editor, notes app or file manager can open them, with no Alayo product required.
If you use Alayo Workbench, add the library folder as a watched folder to organize your clips in Workbench.
