1. Who we are
Alayo and the website alayo.ai (the “Site”) are operated by ThinkAsModel Limited (思模科技有限公司), a company incorporated in Hong Kong (“we”, “us”). Contact: [email protected].
By using the Site or purchasing our products, you agree to these terms.
2. Product and services
Alayo is a visual file workbench for macOS: your files stay where they are on disk, and you organize them on a canvas — AI proposes, you approve, and you can always undo. The Site provides product information about Alayo, presale list sign-up, and (once checkout opens) purchasing. Alayo 1.0 is a one-time paid license, not a subscription.
3. The presale
A presale purchase is a pre-order of an Alayo 1.0 software license: you pay once, and when Alayo 1.0 is released (targeted for late 2026), we deliver your license key and download instructions against your order — redemption details follow your checkout confirmation and order records. The release date is a target, not a guarantee; at any time before release and delivery, you can get a full refund, no questions asked (see the Refund Policy).
4. Pricing and payment
Current pricing is shown on the homepage and at checkout (presale early-bird price US$39, regular price US$59, in US dollars; some regions may see local-currency pricing — the amount shown at checkout is final).
Payment is handled by third-party payment providers over HTTPS. We never see or store your card details; card data is handled by the payment provider in accordance with PCI-DSS:
- Orders completed via Paddle are sold by Paddle as Merchant of Record, and Paddle’s buyer terms (see paddle.net) also apply at checkout;
- Orders completed via Stripe are sold by ThinkAsModel Limited, with payment processed by Stripe.
5. Software license and trial
Your purchase grants you a license to use Alayo — not ownership of the software. License terms:
- Licensed to a single user, activated on up to 2 devices (personal or professional use alike);
- Works offline indefinitely after activation;
- Covers updates to Alayo 1.x; future major versions (such as 2.0) may require a paid upgrade;
- Alayo offers a 14-day full-featured free trial; when the trial ends without a purchase, the app becomes read-only — you can still view what you organized, but not organize anything new.
Alayo may include promotional AI credits with a trial or software license. These credits are provided at no separate charge, have no cash value, are not sold, and may be subject to per-user and shared monthly limits. Availability is not guaranteed. When you choose included Alayo AI, relevant content is relayed to OpenRouter and an underlying model provider; their applicable terms and privacy policies also govern their processing. If you use your own API key, your chosen provider’s terms apply instead.
You may not resell, rent out, or publicly distribute license keys, or reverse-engineer the software (except where permitted by law). The files and content you organize with Alayo remain yours, always.
6. Refunds and cancellation
Refund conditions are set out in the Refund Policy. Alayo is a one-time purchase — not a subscription, with no auto-renewal — so there is no subscription to cancel. A presale pre-order can be cancelled anytime before release and delivery through the refund process in the Refund Policy.
7. Intellectual property
The Alayo software and the contents of the Site (including text, design, and logos) belong to us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These terms grant you no rights beyond the license in Section 5.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The software is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, and our total liability to you in connection with these terms is capped at the amount you actually paid. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Export and legal restrictions
Your use of the software must comply with applicable export-control and sanctions laws. If your jurisdiction prohibits receiving this software or service, please do not purchase.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by and construed under the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and disputes arising from them are submitted to the jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time and will revise the “Last updated” date above; material changes will be announced on the Site or by email. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
12. Language
These terms are provided in English and Chinese. If the two versions diverge, the English version prevails.
